Terroir is a difficult to explain notion, but it has enduring features. Terroir, to us, starts in the altitude of our vineyards and the wine cellar.

Conceito owns 86 hectares of vineyards. They are all organically managed; with no use of pesticides our herbicides.

Our vineyards are located in Teja Valley, one dos the coldest Douro microclimates. 86 hectares divided between 5 different Quintas (Estates). We started to source in 1940, while planting and restructuring were going on.
